Easter

As we approach another Easter, where we remember the death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour that reminds me of Matthew 28:5-7 But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead.

It struck me anew recently thinking of the resurrection that we do not need to fear anything at all. Jesus is risen and in total control not just in mine, but of the whole world. If we completely trust Him, there is no room for fear. And secondly, again go quickly and tell, if Christ is real in my life I want to tell others the reality of the resurrection.

Easter reality

Year after year we proclaim Christ is risen and indeed HE is!! However, why is so little of the resurrection reality seen in our lives as Christian and in the Church?  The resurrection is not just a doctrine we believe and teach, but it has to become a daily reality in our lives as Christian. It needs to be seen in how we treat our neighbour and friends, but also our enemies. Would your life, would my life convince others that Christ is risen?

Love

When we talk about love, lets ask the designer of love and here is what he says: Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;  does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;  does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;  bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. You realise if you are honest, I cannot do that out of myself. Good, because this kind of love comes from God and not out of ourselves.
